The three small groups which one day will be united as a church have experienced a bit of growth:

A) The group “Highway to El Salvador ” has received a new couple, Armando y Karla Morales. They attend regularly with their 15 year old only daughter, Ana. All three are believers but were not attending any church for the past three years. Their chief complaint was similar to Otto and Rebeca's, “there are no biblical churches in Guatemala .” They have enjoyed the teaching and the vision of Vida Nueva. Armando is a pianist and can contribute so much to the new church.

The photo is a recent example of how the group is looking. We were really looking good the day this was taken (Sunday Nov 25 th ) as the McPhail and Contreras-Solis families were visiting us from Vida Nueva in San Salvador .

B) The group in Santa Catarina Pinula has maintained the same although during the evangelism campaigns from Dec 1-8 we have received some new believers. We are excited to begin to work with them and pray they will want to grow in their new relationship with God with us.

C) The youth group from the Condominio Santa Clara has grown with one new young man, his name is Cristian. He has begun attending with us and it is our hope that he will stay. We meet with the youth group every Tuesday night.

The one on one discipleship has been such a blessing. We continue to meet together with the Escamillas, Jorge Mendez, Mario Betancourt, and now with Gelber and Dania Santos each in different places at different times. We have made very good progress in discipleship; we are keeping our focus on quality rather than quantity.

During the week of December 1-8 we were blessed by a wonderful mission team visit. North Americans came from Bakersfield , California , and Corinth , Mississippi . A team from San Salvador also joined together with us to reach out for Christ. We had a very fruitful week of out door evangelism. We went to Santa Catarina Pinula, San José Pinula, and Fraijanes to share the gospel with those who do not know Christ. We were also in the Zone One Central Park every morning. We were very grateful for the help the team gave us as we saw more than 500 people give their lives to Christ. Everyone was a soul winner!

The following four pictures hopefully can give you an idea of some things that happened during those days. We presented evangelistic dramas, preached outdoors, shared the gospel with folks one on one and showed Christian films in the evening which were followed up with the gospel message.
