An Update from
New Life Baptist Church Guatemala

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

After many battles and trials, it is good to be able to say that the Lord has notably advanced His Kingdom through New Life, Guatemala.

During the month of April I preached a series titled “Terminators, 5 Destroyers of your Marriage.” We had announced the series and also made special invitations just like the one you see to the right. The series was such a blessing and in reality blessed us with a lot of fruit.

One entire family received Christ as Lord and Savior, the Alvarado's. I will tell you more about them later on in this update. Among those who have been meeting together with us, we have been able to see how the conference helped 5 families to be strengthened in their marriages and in their relationship to the Lord and our church.

These two photos (to the left and directly below) help us to appreciate just how New Life Guatemala is looking today. The adult congregation to the left has grown to 30 people and the

Sunday school (below) has grown to 25 children. Additionally, God has been so merciful to us by allowing us to continue to meet in the Westin Camino Real Hotel in Zone 10 of the capital city.

BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP AND MENTORING

In addition to those we have already been instructing in biblical discipleship like the Escamilla's, the Santo's, the Morales Batres', and the Solórzano's, we now are also discipling and mentoring those who have come to know the Lord more recently. What a joy it has been!

Carlos and Monica Pinzon are new babes in Christ and as they say, “we want to grow and serve the Lord soon.” Rosemarie and I meet with them every Tuesday night. We have dinner together and then study the Bible, sometimes even until after midnight. It is a joy for us to hear and answer their really good questions and watch them discover God's Word come alive for them. Honestly, I believe that God is going to use this couple much sooner than we are imagining.
