NICARAGUA UPDATE

January 24, 2008 was a VERY special day in the life of Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva Managua.

We had the great joy of celebrating our SECOND ANNIVERSARY. It is hard to believe that two years have already flown by since the birth of this second Metro America Mission Church. God has been so good and has blessed so abundantly.

El Salvador who helped to provide the music and many other anniversary activities. The anniversary was such a blessing as 60 adults attended and over 40 children. We praise God for five invited guests who gave their lives to Christ during the conference. The anniversary provided an opportunity for the Managua church family to really come together as the Body of Christ celebrate a milestone and get more involved in serving and working together. Felix and Dinorah Canizales have done a wonderful job of raising up this Body of Christ in Managua under the Lord's direction.

place capacity. Over the past couple months we have done some major structural modifications which now provide a maximum capacity of 80, the previous capacity was only 40. Since these modifications were made, the church has grown by 50%; from 40 to 60 adults. At this current rate of growth we will soon need to consider two Sunday morning services or another meeting location!

Vida Nueva Managua has grown in so many other ways also. In November they began what has become a very fruitful one on one evangelism outreach every Saturday. 10 to 15 members consistently participate to win others to Christ and follow up those who make decisions for Christ. Three men, who are all new Christians, are really stepping up to the plate in leadership positions. This is a huge victory for a new church. 20 youth experienced the very first Managua Youth
