He was baptized 4 months after that and decided to begin a systematic study of the Bible. His heart’s desire was to serve the Lord. He spent three years as a member of that congregation, studying the Bible and serving the Lord.

Then one day in early 2004 he and his family were invited to one of the functions of “Judgment House” at Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva in Miralvalle. The study ended but his children were so fascinated with Awanas that they begged their parents to allow them to continue. At the same time Cesar and Mirela met and made very good friends at Vida Nueva, including Koky Lopez (Lourdes Campus Pastor) who made an immediate connection with him. This is how the Mónico family decided to stay at Vida Nueva. Later on in 2004 they transferred their church membership and formally began to grow and serve, both in couples ministries and Life Groups.

In 2010 César was invited to become a deacon at Vida Nueva. During the preparation of Judgment House 2013, God touched Cesar’s heart, urging him to talk with Julio and Steve. They curiously had also been led by God and had wanted to talk with Cesar. During the meeting Cesar expressed his desire to serve full time in ministry, confirming the providence of God that Julio and Steve had also felt. They felt God leading them to offer him the position of Biblical Discipleship Coordinator, which is the first step of the S3 growth structure.
