Thank You For Your Support

“I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,” 1 Corinthians 1:4

Dear Friends,                                                                                                                          15 January 2016

Happy New Year!!! We trust that you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! We are so thankful for you and for the investment you made in God’s Kingdom during 2015. We value your faithful gifts and your prayer support so very much. We would not be able to do what we do without it! Thank you so much for sharing that grace that God has given you with this ministry that seeks to reach the lost for Christ and then raise them up to be witnesses for Him so they can go out and influence their world. You are VERY appreciated!

Basically Good News in Action can be divided into two main strong arms, the Vida Nueva churches in San Salvador and the Vida Nueva churches located in Metro America 0 20. Of course there are many sub areas that branch off from each of these two main ones, but for update purposes we want to share with you some of the tremendous blessings we have seen in the past year in these two main areas. Your gift to Good News in Action was used to support these works.

Vida Nueva San Salvador is now comprised of 4 campuses (Miralvalle, Hotel Crown Plaza, Lourdes and Apopa) that hold 12 services weekly; 8 of those are on Sundays. Julio and Steve share all the preaching of those services in person. In those 4 campuses, we saw a combined total of 728 invited visitors, 111 professions of faith in services, and had 197 people begin the assimilation process by taking the 4 week “Beginnings” class. 101 New believers were baptized. Our average Sunday attendance was a combined total of 1,423 adults and youth, and 286 children.  Our Youth meet on Saturdays as well in all 4 campuses and had an average combined attendance of 220 in 6 different ministerial structures. In 2015, 213 new Discipleship relationships were initiated, 146 people graduated from our 3 year study program in our Institute for Ministerial Development, 25 students were enrolled in the Seminary, and a total of 108 small groups operated all over the city all week long. About 500 volunteers minister in different areas every week representing about 3,000 hours of service weekly. We also had the pleasure of leading 13 evangelistic week long campaigns in 5 different countries and through those, experienced an attendance of 33,000 people, and saw 7,950 professions of faith. Last but not least, we saw a combined total 74 more baptisms in our mission churches in the northern part of El Salvador.  Every number represents a person who has been touched by your support. Thank you!

Vida Nueva Metro America 0 20 is comprised of 5 churches located in 4 different countries (2 in Managua Nicaragua, 1 in Bogota Colombia, 1 in Guatemala City, and 1 in San Jose Costa Rica). These churches are all led by pastors and their families who grew up in Vida Nueva San Salvador and were sent out to multiply the ministry in these major metropolitan cities. Together they hold 6 services weekly. In 2015, they saw a total of 160 professions of faith in services and 58 baptisms of new believers. Their combined total average attendance on Sundays is 319 adults, 52 youth, and 104 children. 42 youth meet in Saturday youth groups. There are 102 active Discipleship relationships, 49 students preparing themselves in Ministerial Development and Leadership, 25 small groups that meet during the week and 84 people that are serving in a servant role. Again, every number represents a person who has been touched by your support. Thank you!

2015 was a SENSATIONAL VICTORY YEAR for God’s Kingdom!! To God be the Glory for the Great Things He continues to do. We are just so thankful to be able to be a part of it.

We pray that God will continue to use you in your Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth to Expand His Kingdom and Transform Lives in 2016. May God bless you abundantly!

Love in Christ, Steve and Pam Kern, your missionaries to El Salvador and Latin America
