Treasured Friends, It is a tremendous blessing for us to be able to share with you a few things that are happening in the Lord’s ministry in Managua Nicaragua. Thank you very much for all your support and prayer. We thank God for each one of you and also for the growth and opportunities He has given us during the past 2 months. We would like to share with you just a little bit so that you might rejoice with us; our God is so great. During the month of April we had the opportunity to do two huge evangelistic activities and their respective follow ups. One was an entire week dedicated to evangelism, Holy Week, were a mission team from the United States and San Salvador came to help us, and the other was our very first Vacation Bible School.

110 children registered for our “Extreme Adventure.” What a blessing it was to see 25 of our members from the Managua church serve with joy. This big event was led by Candace Carr and a group from Vida Nueva San Salvador who brought all the materials and equipment we used. What a joy it was so see parents and friends give their lives to Christ during the closing ceremony. Many of those folks are now part of our congregation. It was a success for the Glory of God. Enjoy the photos:

The week of evangelism was also a huge success for the Kingdom of God. About 450 people trusted Christ as their Lord and Savior during the week and to the glory of God, 250 people attended the follow up reception where an additional 13 people received Jesus also.

Another event celebrated in April worthy of mentioning was our monthly meeting of the women’s ministry. What a blessing it was to focus on the topic “Trials and God’s Faithfulness, Galatians 6:7” Martita Guadron was our invited speaker. 24 ladies attended. We had a wonderful time!

The month of May presented the perfect opportunity to once again offer the Discipleship II course. Pastor Felix directed this course as 7 members of our congregation prepared themselves to teach the discipleship lessons to new believers. We are so thankful for this new group that the Lord has raised up and ask you to pray for them that God will burden their hearts to disciple all the new believers that are willing and ready and the opportunity to do so.

Prayer requests:

1- Thank the Lord for providing a canopy covering and a plastic swimming pool for baptisms at our church.

2- Thank the Lord for all the new adults and children that have been added to our congregation lately.

3- Thank the Lord for the numerical growth we have seen in our youth group lately.

4- Please pray for the spiritual and numerical growth of our congregation.

5- Please pray that the Lord will lay it upon the hearts of the members to give to help cover the ministerial expenses of the church.

6- Please pray that the Lord will provide a larger meeting place that will be more favorable to the growth of our congregation.

7- Please pray that the Lord would provide a bus so that we could offer transportation to our congregation.

8- Please pray that the Lord would provide a keyboard and financial resources so that we could take the classes to learn how to play it.

9- Please pray for the spiritual growth, the health, the protection and provision for the Canizález family.

MAY THE LORD BLESS ALL THOSE WHO SUPPORT THE KINGDOM WORK IN MANAGUA NICARAGUA

Follow up was a huge challenge. We did part by phone and part by visiting. Many of those who had received Jesus came to church the following Sunday. We had a special class for the children and a special meeting for the adults where we presented the mission and vision of the church, the activities we offer throughout the week as well as a refreshing snack.
