David Guadrón, Senior Pastor, Vida Nueva Bogota, Colombia

Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, 2001

Currently studying a Masters of Divinity Degree Online through Vida Nueva Baptist Seminary

David, born August 11, 1978, was the second son to Raul and Martita Guadron. He had one older brother, Raul Jr born in 1976. His childhood was happy but without Jesus. One day when David’s mother’s religion no longer met her spiritual needs she began a hungry search for God. At this very same time an uncle invited the entire family to a Christian church. They heard and received the gospel and were converted from darkness to glorious light. On this day, July 2, 1989, David, as a child, together with his whole family, gave their lives to Christ. Since this day they have walked with the Lord and have appreciated the opportunities to serve Him.  READ MORE>

Adán Alexander Hernández Cordero, “Alex”, Associate Pastor, Vida Nueva Bogota, Colombia

Bachelor Degree of Theology, in progress through Vida Nueva Seminary Online

In November of 1992, after being lost, Jesus rescued Alex, thanks to the testimony, prayers, and persistence of his sister and his cousin who had already been converted months earlier through an evangelistic outreach brought to their neighborhood by Good News in Action and Vida Nueva Baptist Church. Alex found new life in Christ at Vida Nueva during a church service where Pastor Steve Kern had been preaching through the Book of Revelation, he doesn’t remember the message, only that he NEEDED to accept Christ. His parents, who were already involved in the church, were very excited about his decision. In 1993 Alex was baptized and steadily began growing in God’s Word and in service to Him, mostly among the youth. READ MORE >

Vida Nueva Bogota First Service 9.2014
September 2014, Vida Nueva Bogota is born!

Vida Nueva Bogota Colombia

Why Bogota, Colombia?

Bogota is the Capital city of Colombia, the population is 10 Million people, less than 10% are born again believers. 40 Million people live in the country of Colombia, also less than 10% are born again believers. Bogota is the gateway to the rest of the country! And Colombia is the gateway to South America. And BEST of ALL, Colombia is very receptive and open to the gospel.

What is the plan?

To plant a church-planting church like Vida Nueva in Bogota Colombia through Evangelism and Discipleship utilizing the model in Acts 5:42 “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” The Gospel will be shared in as many creative ways possible to as many people as possible, especially through activities such as family festivals, children’s clubs, married couples conferences, technical seminars for professionals, knocking on doors…and ..any way possible to connect with people and talk to them about Jesus. The goal is to see people become Followers of Jesus Christ, and then grow to become Servants, and finally, Sacrifices for the King through Evangelism and Discipleship.

In the nearly three years that the Guadrón and Hernandez families have been in Bogota they have been able to reach many for Christ! They are faithful and bold in evangelism as they are in discipleship. They currently meet at the following location: Avenida Boyacá #21-19 Montevideo Plaza on the Third Floor, in Bogota.  The church body meets every Sunday morning at 10 AM until Noon. Since their initiation, 6 mission teams have helped them with outreach, the most recent being in June of 2017. They are committed to reaching Bogota for Christ. They currently (June 2017) have an average Sunday church attendance of about 130 people and have developed many ministries within the church.   Here is a video and a few pictures that give you a glimpse of Vida Nueva Bogota and some of their ministries.
