Cesar Monico
La Mascota 316 Campus Pastor and Director of Small Groups
Cesar was born on September 10, 1973, and raised in the Catholic faith, though he drifted from those roots during his college years. It was during that season that God brought Mirla into his life—a committed follower of Christ whose influence would change his future. Their friendship grew into a relationship, and one year later they were married.
In 2000, after being invited to church, Cesar began attending regularly. Within a month he surrendered his life to Christ, was baptized, and spent the next three years studying Scripture and serving faithfully.
In 2004, Cesar and his family attended Vida Nueva’s drama production Judgment House, an experience that profoundly impacted them. They joined a four‑week follow‑up Bible study while their children attended AWANA, and by the end, the whole family was fully connected. In 2006, they became members of Vida Nueva and began serving in couples’ ministry and Life Groups. In 2010, Cesar was invited to join the team of deacons.
In April 2013, Cesar joined the Vida Nueva staff as Coordinator of Discipleship. Over the years he has served as Miralvalle Campus Pastor, Director of Small Groups, Apopa Campus Pastor, and—since April 2026—La Mascota 316 Campus Pastor. Cesar is a gifted preacher with a deep pastoral heart and a genuine love for his congregation.
Cesar and Mirla have three grown children: Andrea, Vanessa, and Cesar Jr.
