Daniel was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador, on February 3, 1988 into a Christian home. Jesus and His Word were a daily part of his life as well as was his church attendance. At age 7, Daniel gave his life to Jesus. He understood that, even though he had grown up in church, he was a sinner and needed to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

At 18, he began college, studying International Relations in San Salvador. Daniel’s convictions were tried during this time as he faced the realities of life as a young man who did not have a strong relationship with God. Many poor decisions brought negative consequences to his life. God got his attention and taught him what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:15, “and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” This was a life-changing lesson, Daniel recommitted himself to living for God rather than himself and to grow to become more like Jesus.

Midway through college, God used Psalms 73:28 to call him into ministry. He answered that call and decided that the passion of his life would be to live for God’s glory and fulfill His plan for his life. So, Daniel began to serve in the youth ministry of his church. When he finished his university studies he moved to Queretaro, Mexico to study the Bible at the Word of Life Bible Institute. During this first year, the Lord answered a very important prayer request, to find a brave and committed wife who would be willing to serve the Lord in El Salvador. Daniel met Montserrat and after a year and a half of friendship, they formalized their relationship and were married in 2014. That same year, Daniel returned to El Salvador and continued further Biblical and Ministerial studies in the Vida Nueva Baptist Seminary. In 2016, Daniel was invited to work for the Seminary, a big answer to prayer. Not only did this provide him with a job but also a chance to learn and grow.

Today, Daniel and Montse are an integral part of the Vida Nueva congregation. They are convinced that this is the place God has for them to be trained and used by Him. Daniel currently serves as the Hacienda Campus Pastor as well as the Director of Evangelism.

Daniel and Montse have a daughter, Aly born in February 2019, and a son, Esteban, born in January 2021.
